I was introduced to the The Elms Hotel and Spa, But let’s go back a step. We are a military family and it goes without saying moving around to various places is inevitable. Two and half years ago my husband came home and said we are moving back to Missouri and my heart sank, only because I knew the place we were going didn’t have as many amenities as I was used to. But that just wasn’t the case. When I returned, immediately everything I forgot I loved came back to me. It was the scenery that I loved the most. The crisp air and the first snow fall that my kids didn’t get in Georgia. When you don’t live around a lot of attractions, it forces you to explore the surrounding states and cities that are around. A wonderful thing for families to do when moving around a lot, is to know what that state has to offer. Such as the award-winning Spa at The Elms Hotel and Spa.
Tell me more…
Can we talk about how gorgeous this hotel is that has been around for 125 years? These are the kind of beautiful treasures that you find in the state of Missouri, but The Elms Hotel and Spa is shaking things up a bit by offering amazing upgrades to their spa services. Can you imagine walking into their 25,000 foot facility after a long week, or who am I kidding, a long trying month to experience one of their new services that they offer? You won’t find another place like this in the Kansas City market, and why would you want to? The history and experience that The Elms Hotel and Spa aims to give each of their guests is unmatched, hence their efforts to offer one-of-a-kind services.
The Grotto
Way back in Roman times, bath houses consisted of a series of rooms that offered cold, warm, and hot baths – as well as steamy and dry rooms. The end result of all this bathing? Helping Romans to feel good and feel better! The Grotto is The Elms Hotel and Spa’s modern version of a traditional Roman bath (get more info about it HERE). It features a series of soothing chambers where you can relax and rejuvenate in indulgent luxury. A special feature of The Grotto is the self-service exfoliation bar, where you can apply a custom blend of sea salts, herbs, and essential oils to soften, and smooth your skin while increasing circulation.
What are the new services I speak of?
In addition to their wide variety of services, The Elms Hotel and Spa offers (which you can find HERE), they have added two very appealing new spa treatments. The first is the Essentials Massage. The rhythmic massage is performed with four single essential oils and four blended essential oils – all of which help to help center your mind, body, and spirit. The aromatic oils used will alleviate stress and inflammation as well. So, for 50 minutes, you can relax and let your emotional stress wash away. Speaking of washing away, the second new treatment is the Waterfall Hot Stone Massage, which combines the Vichy Shower and a hot stone massage. This service will help with deep relaxation, relief of chronic pain, and reduction of stress. Wow! That sounds amazing, right?
