My kids are my world — like I would literally run barefoot on glass to get to them. Was that too much? Well, you get my point, I’d basically do anything for them. That, of course, includes taking precautions to make sure they are healthy, safe and protected against illness-causing germs during cold and flu season. I know what you’re thinking, “it’s flu season already?” My thoughts exactly, especially with COVID-19 still looming over us.
Thankfully, Lysol has done protective and busy moms a favor by creating the Lysol® Germ-Cast™ app to provide up-to-date info on flu and COVID-19 numbers. Okay, let me explain this genius development.
How to Monitor Flu Season and Keep Up With COVID-19 Updates
Every day we are getting conflicting information and looking for the latest updates about the flu and COVID-19. I’m not going to lie, I was excited to log into my Lysol® Germ-Cast™ app to see all of the statistics and latest information pertaining to our community. We have learned to create a life for our family despite the current circumstances. Such as, every week I take my sons to their learning Co-Op and run normal errands. We do these things with precautions like wearing masks, washing our hands, social distancing and now, using the Lysol® Germ-Cast™ App.
What I love about this app is that it’s FREE — yes, this free app and web plugin provides daily data on flu and COVID-19 incidences in your area. The app also gives a three-week flu forecast and illness-prevention information. Lysol® wants you to have the tools you need to help protect your loved ones. So, as I stated before, this truly is a genius app because now we can be even more vigilant when it comes to staying informed and protecting our loved ones. If you have thought, “Is there more I can do?” Now you know that, thanks to Lysol®, there is something extra you can do to stay informed.
How to Use the Lysol® Germ-Cast™ App
The Lysol® Germ-Cast™ app is very easy to use. Just go to the Apple App Store or Google Play store to download the. Once you have the app downloaded on your phone you can sign up for an account — or if you want to see what it’s like first — just put in your zip code. You will then see a few easy-to-navigate bars. At the top, you will have a map and two sections that separate flu statistics and COVID-19 incidents. Finally, you can choose the protection tab to get tips on how to help protect your family.
Check it out for yourself so you can stay informed about COVID and the flu too!
