Why wear an A-line skirt?

I wrote this article on my other platform about wearing this A-line skirt. I was a few pounds heavier  and decided to re-write it and bring the pictures along when I  switched. Anyway what I want you to take away from this article is, no matter what size you are be confident and own every step you take in your bomb outfits. When you look good to yourself, you feel good, and that is a step to having better days. A-line skirts are flattering on almost all body types according to the fit and length. Let me tell you a secret… it hides that unwanted belly bulge. Yes girl!, you heard it hear first.

Get into these looks

Here is the thing about this look, an A-line shape is intended to go away from the body, and when you add an high waist element, it gives you a waist line and gives your body more shape. So I parried my skirt with  two different looks. One look is a fun sophisticated look with a play on a combat boot for both looks.  I add the black and white stripped blouse to give texture. The second look is for my spicy ladies, and if you are like me, you are both, spicy and sophisticated.  To all my plus size beauties, dressing your body is not boring or hard, just make sure everything fits and know the right places for garments to lay, One of my favorite plus size divas, who just get’s it right is  GabiFresh, check her out for more inspiration on how to dress your body.

Look Number One:

Blouse: My favorite thing to take the attention off of my belly is using an oversized shirt or blouse and then tying it to shape my body . A great tip if you are losing weight, can’t find your perfect size, or you don’t have time to get it tailored. Tie your blouse at the waist where your A-line skirt meets your waist to add proportion to your body.

Look number two:

love playing with color and stepping outside the norm. I saw this mustard knit sweater in a thrift store one day and immediately my life is fulfilled because it is a beautiful color and someone personally hand knit it. Kind of hard for me to control the urge not to buy it. Can we say one of a kind find? I decide to pair it with this crop top from Forever 21 to add dimension and color. Well ladies I hope you were inspired, love on yourself.

Love look 2! Great thrift find. I was actually trying to find a denim a-line, but the one I found was too small :\
