Women have the reputation of being catty, bossy and opinionated. Well it’s no lie there, because at times we can be. You better not put us all in one room together for too long because it’s sure not to end well. Yep I’m sure you have thought this on occasions when it came to planning a girls trip. But I’m here to pull back your eyelids and let you know it can go differently.
I know what you are thinking, “Eb I don’t have time.” We have to figure out time from work, the kids, husband, family and goodness knows what else. Even how to get to the airport if everyone is busy. But honestly when my girls came to me about going to Vegas, most of this didn’t cross my mind, Eb needs a break and I’m never afraid to say that. Ok most of it didn’t cross my mind, I’m still mommy and that plagued my mind of how I was going to get the kids to function without me. But My girlfriend said. ” Eb I’m going to book the trip and worry about the rest later.” So I took on this thought process and did just that. We had an amazing time, Honestly with the 7 of us we did have some disagreements but nothing to regret our time in Las Vegas. So Worth it!
Who is in the crew?
I’m going to give them all nicknames since they may not want their government all out in the open lol.
So we have my girl Almond– She is silly on the Low, sensitive like me but always ready to armor up.
Then we have Chrissy– The original OG I found out in Vegas. but she is naturally a person that takes care of everything around her.
There is Rocky– Strong, takes initiative and always up to have a good time.
Can’t Forget my girl Chev– pure in heart, fun, down to earth and easy to be around.
My boo Maro– ok Maro took a huge turn from her normal “calculated” personality and showed herself and me a good time. She was the break out star!
Lastly but important my sweet K– laid back, but down to participate. sweet but will get feisty.
So ladies this is my crew and a little bit of our personalities. At the end of the day we all took care of each other and made sure we were Good. That is important when going on a girls trip.
What went Down?
So this is a tricky question with the whole what stays in Vegas thing. so I’ll give you the quick run down because my phone was dead during the important picture-taking times. Maro decided she wanted to be Mrs. Dare diva and experience a ride called the Big Shot at the top of the Stratosphere Hotel. I was her partner in fear because I had no time to process what was happening. The ride literally shoots you up in the air and leaves you there to view all of Las Vegas. I felt like died and came back to life as I was being catapulted in the air. Good times…
Speaking of the Stratosphere hotel. There is a gorgeous restaurant, that rotates so you can see all of Las Vegas, real fancy smancy. That’s where we were going here.
Deciding to have a girls trip for us was mostly about being silly and letting loose while enjoying each other. This was not your usual Las Vegas experience, we made it our own. But also to experience new things together. So there was a day set aside to do ATV riding. We got together in a beetle juice looking van and had a good time with our driver and we treated him like our cousin on our dad’s side. All love.
Last Night Together
We had to leave Vegas with a big BANG right? right, so we decided on our last day to laugh like it was the last thing that we would ever do in life. We laughed at the people around us and at each other. Just being silly and free. For some odd reason we decided that the pool was the perfect place to act a fool and that we did. How often is it that you get to be care free?
Here’s the Point of a Girls Trip
There will be things that will come up in your life that will challenge you. People will make you happy and disappoint you. Your kids will have soccer practice and a ton of other things. But it is important to put yourself out there and as an adult find women or one woman you trust. Honestly the things we as women go though, you should not carry it all by yourself. Women are traveling and experiencing life more, you should too. I’m blessed to have sisters that mean something to me and visa versa. I’ll be real, we don’t always see eye to eye and will catch a quick attitude real quick, but love always wins. Thank God for that. Until our next trip.. peace and blessings
It’s amazing we a group of women can come together and enjoy themselves. I love your blog.
Thank you Mrs. D I appreciate the love
How fun! I love this and your point on having a girls trip. So true! My soul has been yearning for one. Will have to start planning and stop just talking about it. 😉
I love having time with just my girls! We live all over the place so it’s great to have a few days without all the kids and husbands.

Looks like you had a lot of fun. Time spent with girlfriends is always time well spent.I bet a lot of memories were made.
This post makes me feel some kind of way for sure. I haven’t ever been great with female relationships. It’s gotten a little easier to socialize with age but there are far fewer opportunities it seems.
Thanks for reading MIa I agree, the older I get the less time I have to do things.
