Fertility: Having a Baby aint Easy

Stork OTC FERTILITY

“This is a sponsored conversation from Mums the Word Network and The Stork OTC. All opinions are my own.”

I decided to talk about fertility The Stork OTC at home device because, a woman’s body goes through so many changes when pregnant. Changes doctors can’t comprehend between the cravings and aversions to smells. But there is a part before the pregnancy that women are struggling with, and that’s conceiving. When pregnancy is planned between a couple, it may seem like it will be easy as 1-2-3. But then reality sets in for a lot of couples and they come to a point where they need to introduce help with fertility.

Experiencing Pregnancy

I feel like I had every symptom known to pregnancy with both of my sons. Pregnancy was just not fun for me, I didn’t have the rainbow and glow type of experience. The symptoms had me literally miserable and sick most of the time during them both. Being pregnant doesn’t always go exactly as planned. I’m the “lucky” woman who just had to have gestational diabetes which I thought was the most horrible thing in the world. Both of my children, as a result, were over  8 lbs. and juicy. My second son was born via C-section and I was so excited to meet his little gorgeous face.  I laid on the operating table after being numb from the chest down listening to all of the beeps. My husband on my left side waiting as they cut open my body and prepare it for delivery. We were scared and excited, but more than anything ready to meet our son.

The Birth of a Fighter

I didn’t have to worry about fertility, so to me, my pregnancy truly felt like the most difficult thing a woman could go through. All of the doctor visits and eventually the birth took a toll on me mentally and physically. My fighter for a son was born not breathing, but I didn’t have time to worry. I was on the table cut open and praying he would be fine. Something on the inside of me just knew he would be ok and it would all be worth it. I didn’t get to hold or see my son for 3 hours after his birth until he was stable. The first look at his face was defiantly worth the fight. I connect with fertility issues and pregnancy stories because I know we are all fighting for that end result, to look our miracle in the face while they squeeze our hand.

Prepare Your Body to Conceive

After the birth of my second son, I determined that some women have better experiences because they take better care of their bodies. You have to prepare your body to endure fertility and pregnancy. This includes exercise, vitamins, and healthy foods, before and during your pregnancy. No one is expecting you to be perfect but changing up from the way you usually take care of your body may help with conceiving your miracle.  I know that if my body was in better shape, I had the potential to avoid gestational diabetes through pregnancy. For some pregnancy is hard work and for others, conceiving is even more difficult. Here is a short list that is said to help with natural conception.

1.Stress- I know it ‘s hard not to stress, but having your body in a relaxed state to conceive gives you a better chance at becoming pregnant. Try your best to be confident in your body and know it is capable of conception.

2. Healthy body- as stated above eating correctly and exercise increases your blood flow and over all health to be able to successfully care a baby.

3. Temperature- calmly monitor your temperature each month, because this will tell you when the peak of your ovulation is occurring.

4. Mucus- lastly mucus in the form of a clear, nonfoul smell will likely tell you if you are ovulating, so pay attention to your body.

Fertility Hope

Women all over the world are having trouble conceiving and experiencing that joy they long for. It is a challenge that is more common than some of us realize. The cost after a Woman realizes she may be having trouble conceiving can climb. Going back and forth to the doctor for evaluations and possible IUI and IVF treatments. I decided to partner with Stork OTC because this issue hits close to my heart. I desire for women to experience what they long for in getting pregnant and birthing a child. While I can’t relate to the experience of not being able to conceive easily, I look at my children and know exactly why they endure it all. I would do the same to have children 100 times over. These women aren’t looking for a pity party, they are looking for hope.

Stork OTC fertility help

Stork OTC is Hope

Stork OTC is a part of their hope as an at home device to give couples a better chance of conceiving. The device is a wand similar to what doctors use for cervical exams equipped with a cervical cup to place sperm. When the cup is placed in the wand it is vaginally placed at the cervix to give sperm better chance of survival. The success rate compared to natural increases to 10-20%. I’m honestly excited for women to try this product because it is done in the comfort of your own home. The product is compared to an IUI and has the same success rate saving you money and making the transfer more intimate and personable. If you or some one you know would like to purchase Stork OTC, it can be purchased at Target. It will be located in the family planning section next to ovulation test kits. But even better the month of August on the Stork OTC’s online store you get 25 percent off. Click Here!

Great post! So many couples struggle with fertility problems and it always breaks my heart to see what they have to go through! We were one of the lucky couples who did not have fertility problems but I know so many that does and wish so much that it could be easier for them!

This looks like a fascinating product! We had trouble conceiving both times and for me it was a thousand time more difficult than pregnancy (and I had a difficult pregnancy.) I’m sure this product will help families save money while trying to conceive.

I always wonder about what type of experience I will have. I have heard horror stories and stories of euphoria. Only time will tell. I think it’s dope that there’s a device out that can assist couples because fertility treatments certainly aren’t cheap.

Thanks for sharing. I knew two females that tried the stork and it didn’t work for them. It sucks when you are unable to control such a basic human need and instinct.

Thanks for sharing your story! Pregnancy also wasn’t a happy thing for me either. Not sure about using this device. I’d rather just do it the old fashioned way and pray for good results! I’ve never been a fan of inserting foreign objects down there.

  11. August 10, 2017 / 10:22 pm

Stork is a really good option for couples who do not want to go to doctor’s offices for IUIs. It makes the experience a little bit more personal than technical and medical.

  12. August 11, 2017 / 2:08 am

It is refreshing to know there are options to ease some of the fertility stress. Thank god for advancement.

Interesting! More and more of my friends are trying to conceive now, and I know this is tough for them. Great to know that there are products to help.

  16. August 11, 2017 / 12:57 pm

I know that there are parents out there who have used Stork, and are loving the fact that they can have a bit of control over their fertility journey. It wasn’t until trying to get pregnant with my second that I was hit with all of the facts about infertility AND how it even affects the black community heavily, when so many people feel like we just pop babies out. Sharing stories like this takes away the stigma, and helps people move forward to solutions.

  17. August 11, 2017 / 5:03 pm

A lot of people assume that is easy to both conceive and give birth. I reality it’s very difficult to do both. I will be sharing this article. So glad your little one survived, unfortunately some never get to ever hold there babies 👶🏾 after delivering.
