Stressed! that is the word to describe my kids when they have any kind of break. I immediately wake up to my two boys running through our house screaming. “Mom, we’re just playing ninjas,” they yell after they hear me asking what they are doing. I mean every morning for school I’m usually the one peeling them out of bed, but when there is no school, and it’s my sleep in day, they show me no mercy. OK, but this post is about cookies. Sugar cookies at that. No matter how much I want to sleep in, whenever my kids are home with me all day, I like to get their hands and bodies into something productive. And because my strong suit is being creative, we usually end up doing an experiment or making something, like sugar cookies.Cookies are easy to make and even though I’m a huge red velvet cookie fan, sugar cookies are a close second. This delicious and easy sugar cookie recipe without cream of tartar will keep your kids busy and quiet after they are done.
